After serving the Roswell community with its signature Interior Mexican cuisine, Antigua Cocina Mexicana has announced it will officially close its doors on March 28.
Located at 3601 N. Main St., Roswell, NM, the restaurant shared the news in a heartfelt message to customers, thanking the community for its loyalty and support over the years.
But this isn’t a complete goodbye.
A New Chapter at the Same Location
In the announcement, the team revealed that Geli’s Mexican Restaurant will be moving into the Antigua location and combining menus. That means many of Antigua’s beloved dishes may continue to live on — alongside Geli’s classic favorites.
When a customer asked whether favorites like the sampler appetizer, bacon-wrapped shrimp, ribeye tacos, and Pollo en Chipotle would remain, the restaurant responded that the new menu will be announced soon.
So while the name on the building may change, the flavors Roswell diners love aren’t disappearing entirely.

Antigua Cocina Mexicana built a loyal following for its refined take on traditional Mexican dishes, paired with wines and handcrafted cocktails.

Gift Cards Will Be Honored
Customers are encouraged to use Antigua gift cards before March 28. However, Geli’s Mexican Restaurant has confirmed they will honor all Antigua gift cards after the transition.
