A familiar name in Storm Lake’s local dining scene is taking a pause.
Ying’s Kitchen, located at 504 Lake Ave. N., Storm Lake, Iowa, has announced that it will be temporarily closed beginning Friday, March 13, 2026, until further notice.
In a heartfelt message shared with customers, the restaurant explained that they have decided to take a short break while they carefully consider their next steps. The decision, they noted, was not an easy one — but one they believe is right “for now.”
A Message of Gratitude
In their announcement, Ying’s Kitchen expressed deep appreciation for the community:
“We are truly grateful to everyone who has reached out with recommendations, kind words, and support. Your encouragement means more to us than you know.”
They also extended special thanks to their team members — from day one until today — recognizing the work, dedication, and memories shared over the years.
The restaurant encouraged guests to follow their Facebook page for future updates.
