The End of an Era: Final Long Island Hooters Shuts Down in Farmingdale
Long Island has officially seen the closure of its final Hooters outpost. The restaurant at 2500 Broadhollow Rd in Farmingdale ended its 16-year run on February 16, 2026. This location was the last remaining survivor of the brand’s once-larger footprint across Nassau and Suffolk counties.
Located on the heavily trafficked Route 110 corridor, the restaurant was a landmark in the Farmingdale business district. It sat directly across from Republic Airport and was just north of Farmingdale State College. Nearby neighbors included the Airport Plaza Shopping Center and the Adventureland amusement park, making it a high-visibility staple for locals and commuters alike.
