Wing Daddy’s Sauce House Abruptly Shutters De Zavala Road Location
As of February 20, 2026, Wing Daddy’s Sauce House at 5230 De Zavala Road has officially closed. The closure was sudden, with regular guests discovering the change via a paper sign taped to the front door. The notice thanks customers for their patronage and instructs them to visit the chain’s other active locations on Jackson Keller or Bandera Road. No specific reason for the closure has been stated by the El Paso-founded company.
This location sat at the heart of a major Northwest San Antonio dining hub. It was located in the De Zavala Shopping Center, close to the intersection of I-10 and De Zavala. The restaurant was neighbors with the Walmart Supercenter and was situated just across the street from the University Heights business district and UTSA residential areas.

Wing Daddy’s was popular for its bold wing flavors like Honey Hot and Ghost Pepper, along with their signature oversized burgers and fried appetizers. While the De Zavala signs have been removed from the building, the brand maintains a significant presence across San Antonio with several remaining outposts.
