After eight years serving tacos, fajitas, and memories to the wider Nutter Fort community, Taqueria Lou Lou has announced that it is closing its doors for good. The beloved neighborhood spot — tucked along Buckhannon Pike just off Route 20 — shared the news on Facebook on February 20, 2026, leaving longtime customers emotional but grateful for the years of food and friendship.
A Note From Lou & Fede
In a sincere update posted to their page, owners Lou and Fede explained that while their restaurant had survived the ups and downs of life — openings, pregnancy, a pandemic, and even moving locations — the time had finally come to step away.
They wrote:
“Our children are getting older; and we are missing their lives… our time is consumed with the restaurant. So, in effort to be better, it’s time we close our doors and start a new chapter.”
Importantly, they clarified that the closure was not due to business problems or outside issues earlier this year. Rather, it was a deeply personal choice: to be present for their children and spend more time together as a family.
Their message closed with gratitude:
“Thank you for all the support, loyalty, and love we have experienced from our community and friends. We count you all as blessings.”
In a later post on the same day, they shared that they would be closed for the remainder of the day and that it would be their last day open.
